BREAKING: As of Thursday, October 1, from 1am, restrictions are being eased, increasing the number of people who can gather at outdoor venues and events.

The number of patrons outdoors has been changed from one per 4 square metres to one per 2 square metres. So, we can all get back to supporting local businesses such as outdoor dining, beer gardens, theme parks and zoos.

Events with a COVID Safe Checklist can now increase the number of attendees from 500 to 1,000 per day.

There will also be an increase for seating capacity at outdoor stadiums, amphitheatres and outdoor performance venues with a COVID Safe Plan from up to 50% to up to 75%.

Queensland businesses are our core focus for this update, in another safe and well considered step towards making sure that we get our economy back, instead of more virus.
